Statement of CCTV on Strengthening Copyright Protection of News Works
In order to implement the Guiding Opinions of the Central Committee on Promoting the Integration and Development of Traditional Media and Emerging Media, promote the establishment and improvement of the copyright cooperation mechanism between traditional media and emerging media, and standardize the copyright order of online reprinting, according to the relevant requirements of the Notice of the National Copyright Administration on Regulating the Copyright Order of Online Reprinting, the statement is as follows:
1. The news works interviewed, filmed, edited, produced and broadcast by CCTV, including but not limited to the newsletters, interview reports, investigation comments, archives and other news works published by the unit for the first time, are important copyright assets of CCTV. CCTV, as the copyright owner of the aforementioned news works, enjoys complete copyright in accordance with the law. All news media, Internet service providers and individuals are requested to strictly abide by copyright-related laws and regulations.
2. No institution or individual, including but not limited to TV stations, radio stations, newspapers, periodicals, Internet service providers and internet users, may reprint, edit, modify, extract, repost or otherwise copy and disseminate the aforementioned news works without the written permission of CCTV, except for fair use as stipulated in the Copyright Law.
3. News media, Internet service providers and individuals should consciously sign for the copyright owner when they are authorized to reprint their works, and do not distort or tamper with the original text and title. Reprinted works should indicate the source, and the link address of the source website should also be indicated when the reprinted website publishes the article.
4. CCTV will strengthen copyright monitoring and protection of the aforementioned news works, and will strictly investigate the tort liability for illegal use of the aforementioned news works without permission. All news media, Internet service providers and individuals should delete the infringing content in time and properly solve the infringing matters after receiving the notice of rights protection issued by CCTV.
5. From the date of this statement, all news media, websites and individuals should take the initiative to check themselves and delete the contents suspected of infringement. If you need to continue to use related content, please contact CCTV in time for copyright cooperation.
